Scotland: A Wealth of Natural Splendour |
|
|
Scotland has a wide range of habitats, more than any other country of a comparable size. Each area of the country has it’s own wildlife speciality which is not surprising considering there are more than 120 wildlife reserves in Scotland that cover an area of more than 20,000 hectares ranging from woodland glens to remote Islands, disused urban railways to mountain tops, sea cliffs and raised bogs. In fact, Scotland is a haven to over 90,000 different species of wildlife.
