Margaret and Stuart would like to extend a warm welcome to you at Muirburn.
Our home is over 200 years old and was bought by us when derelict.
We took on the challenge of transforming it into the comfortable home it is today and now
look forward to welcoming you as our guests.

The house has a chequered history!  For example in September 1815, the then tenant Gabriel Highat and his sons
were charged with mobbing and rioting after a local toll was attacked and demolished.
Luckily for them the case was dismissed on a technicality and they were released.
If they had been found guilty, transportation could have been their fate!

We can't promise that sort of excitement, but you are assured of a relaxing stay with first class hospitality.

We welcome golfers, anglers, cyclists and walkers and offer secure storage for golf clubs, fishing gear, cycles
(motor and push!) etc, as well as a drying room for wet clothes!

We offer 3 ground floor guest rooms, each beautifully furnished and decorated.  All rooms have en-suite shower rooms,
Digital TV, Tea and coffee tray with home baking, Hairdryer, Alarm Clock, Radio, Bathrobes, Quality Toiletries, Large fluffy
towels. individual thermostatically controled radiators and all mod cons that you would expect.
